The fundamentals as presented in this volume are the distillation of the Nakayama's 46 years of experience in this art of self-defense. As well as setting forth the basic rules that must be put into practice when performing kata or applying techniques in kumite, this volume pinpoints the underlying physical and physiological principles of karate: source and concentration of power; stance, form, stability and technique; movement in all directions; basic and comprehensive aspects of training and more. T here is a little edge and corner wear including a very light 1/2" crease on the top corner of the cover (you have to look very closely to see it in the scan) and a very few light brown spots on the half-title page, but this book is still in very good condition. No collection of karate items is complete without this outstanding book.
