Rose de France amethyst trilogy ring. 10k yellow, green, and rose gold. Size 5.75. 4.14 grams. Beautiful iridescent light amethyst trilogy ring - confirmed by my jeweler. The type of amethyst is named Rose de France but these stones look more light, pink, and unique than their name suggests. Truly STUNNING! The ring is set in solid 10k black hills gold which is a style that includes yellow, rose and green gold. You can see the rose and green gold in the leaves and the yellow gold is the primary gold for the ring/band. In my (unprofessional) opinion this ring is likely from the 1940s/50s but may be older or newer though we can definitely date it as younger than 1870s (when black hills gold was first created). This piece feels like a special part of Americana as Black Hills gold really became popular in the US and was primarily mined from/made in South Dakota. Amethyst is the birthstone for February. Trilogy rings typically represent past, present, and future so can be a romantic or platonic gesture for a longstanding relationship. Please let me know if you have any questions! :)
