I've purchased several tenkara rods from kaisei Japan fishing tackle shop over the last few months ( since trump's tariffs). Two rods were not on his web site and were special ordered, which he was happy to do. The purchase went smoothly and rods were delivered to the US in 4-5 days. Communication was excellent. Te prices are a little steeper but includes all tariffs and duties. I would not hesitate purchasing from him in the future.
Item was initially out of stock but seller informed me right away that it should be back in stock in one week, and it was. I was offered the next longer size rod at the same price as the one I ordered but I decided to wait. Seller kept me informed of the item coming back in stock and shipping. I will be purchasing another rod from this seller once I decide which size to get. I highly recommend them.
The shimotsuke KIYOTAKI II is tiny. It will be just what I need for some tiny creeks I haven’t been able to fish effectively before. The rod was well-priced given our current tariff craziness. The price was the price with no additional tariff nonsense. The package was incredibly well-packed, so the rod arrived in perfect condition, and it came 10 days ahead of expected delivery date. Excellent service!
