There is some shelf wear, sunning and chipping to the extremities, with minor loss to the top of the spine. The jacket is now housed in a protective brodart sleeve. The original maroon hardback boards feature titles & illustrations in gold gilt. They are in very good condition, with only minor shelf wear to the edges and some bumping to the top and tail of the spine. The spine is straight and the binding is tight. The interior pictorial endpapers, paste-downs & hinges are clean and in very good condition, with some spot foxing. Internally, the pages are bright & clean. The previous owners name ( Daisy E Quick) has been neatly inked to the title page which is lightly toned. The edges of the text block are in very good condition, with the top edges gold gilted as expected. Please make reference to the listing images for a full visual description.
