Bethany Lowe Paper-Mache Belsnickle Santa 22 inches Sparkles Mica. This is a beautiful Belsnickel Santa I found at an estate sale. I am basing the Bethany Lowe design designation from a lot of internet searches and very similar visual matches. This is a beautiful Belsnickel Santa I found at an estate sale. I am basing the Bethany Lowe design designation from a lot of internet searches and very similar visual matches. There is an old tag on the bottom as well as a “Made in Phillipines” sticker. I found out that Paper-Mache is a folk art craft with history in the Phillipines - where it is called Taka. This Santa has been helping to celebrate Christmas for 13 or 14 years and he does have a few slight smudges most noticeably on his base and on his face ( please see pictures). He is lovely and he is Big (22 inches tall and approximately 8 inches at his folded arms) and he only weighs 14 oz. I have a perfect box for him ( it originally contained eggs!) and I will pack him very carefully!
