TYCO Mantua HO 4-6-2 Union Pacific #4073 w/ SOUNDTRAXX, needs wiring TLC. No box or literature. The previous owner, evidently, was in the process of adding a SOUNDTRAXX sound system (see PICs); however, he never finished. With wiring incomplete, the engine won’t run and lights won’t work. Offering this vintage TYCO Mantua HO scale 4-6-2 Union Pacific steam locomotive #4073. No box or literature. Parts diagrams and literature can be seen at hoseeker.com. The previous owner, evidently, was in the process of adding a SOUNDTRAXX sound system (see PICs); however, he never finished. The wiring is incomplete, some wiring is missing. Looking at the close-up of the SOUNDTRAX unit, starting at the bottom and moving up, the colored wires are routed as follows: - Purple to the speaker - Red to the engine - Orange to the engine - Blue to the engine - White to the engine - Yellow is dead in the tender - Gray to the engine - Black to a ground screw on the tender chassis - Violet to the speaker With wiring incomplete, the engine won’t run and lights won’t work. I don’t know how to wire it. I did touch power leads directly to the motor and it seemed to run just fine in F&R. The loco is dusty with a few paint dings. I see the left rear tender step is missing and the railing on the engine is missing. Not sure about anything else. See pictures for yourself.
