Description

Fenton Amethyst Persian Medallion Carnival 7 3/4” Flouted Glass Bowl - Vintage. A deep purple hue with a prismatic sheen, the intricate Persian Medallion pattern is highly sought after by collectors for the unique beauty and historical significance. Its surface of an electric iridescent finish, reflects a brilliant metallic blue and gold with a rainbow of colors when viewed at different angles and light. This iridescence, known as the "carnival finish,” was created by applying metallic salts to the hot glass during production. Hand-pressed into molds and hand-finished, the bowl’s crafting process involved multiple artisans, each contributing their skills to different stages like gathering, pressing, and finishing, further enhancing the individual character of each piece. Manufactured in the 70s in Williamstown, West Virginia, it’s in very, very good condition, no cracks or chips. May have minor, if any age or manufacturer imperfections.
