Vintage Floral Motif Under Glass Round Serving Display Plate. This is a glass plate with the design painted or placed over the entire surface which can be seen in mirror image on the opposite side. So unique! It looks like paper mache (?). The plate is not porcelain. Vintage Glass Round Serving Display Plate Pressed floral design under glass ~ Translucent to the opposite side Wall Decor or Home Decor LOVELY The design can be seen translucently through to the bottom side of the plate in mirror fashion Dense floral mix on beige background ~ Soft-muted but vibrant colors This is a glass plate with the design painted or placed over the entire surface which can be seen in mirror image on the opposite side. So unique! It looks like paper mache (?) pressed under the glass or some other material delicately pressed in under the glass. The plate is not porcelain. It is made of glass. I don't know the name of this technique but it's really unique and unusual. The second photo above is the bottom of the plate. I have never seen one like it. Most likely handmade. Age unknown.
