The Worcester pattern features fruit designs; this particular mug features pears. It holds 10 ounces of water to the rim. From edge to handle, the mug is 4-3/8” wide. Offering for sale, is a 10 ounce Roy Kirkham Worcester Fine Bone China Mug made in Stoke on Trent Staffordshire, England in 1997. The Roy Kirkham Company has made fine bone china tableware since 1970, and the Kirkham Family still owns the business today. Fine bone china is more translucent and chip resistant. The Worcester pattern features fruit designs; this particular mug features pears. This colorful mug is 4” tall and 2-5/8” diameter. It holds 10 ounces of water to the rim. From edge to handle, the mug is 4-3/8” wide. The mug is bone china white and features fat, orange pears with green leaves on a blue sponge-painted-like background. The handle features small pears and green leaves typical of Roy Kirkham designs. There are also small pears decals inside the cup. I have not seen or found a Roy Kirkham mug with this bright pear design before. The Worcester mug is used, in very good to excellent condition with no nick or chips (or handle repairs) or staining.
