Super Sale! Norman Rockwell Original Lithograph "Ticket Seller" HAND SIGNED. This fantastic lithograph is by Norman Rockwell (1894-1978). This fantastic lithograph is by Norman Rockwell (1894-1978). The lithograph is titled The Ticket Seller and is hand signed and numbered in pencil by the artist from edition of 200. The lithograph measures 27" x 21" with framed dimensions of 34-1/2" x 28-1/2". The frame is in very good to excellent condition and the lithograph is in very good condition aside from slight color attenuation. The Ticket Seller by Norman Rockwell was illustrated as a cover for The Saturday Evening Post published on April 24th, 1937. The painting depicts a man in a Ticket Agency surrounded by posters advertising travel destinations in Europe and around the world. Some of the destinations listed are “Paris,” “Mountains” and “The Orient.” Bars block the ticket seller’s desk as if he is imprisoned in a jail. The lighter, vibrant colors surrounding the advertisements are contrasted inside the cell by the dark colors surrounding the ticket seller. The ticket seller’s expression of sorrow and boredom mimics the colors that surround him.
