Up for auction is a pair of beautiful Bachmann Spectrum N Scale Norfolk & Western J Class 4-8-4 steam locomotives, including #611 and #608. Both locomotives are being sold AS-IS for parts, repair, restoration, or display. Please review all photos carefully, as the photos are considered part of the description. One locomotive has a detached/broken side rod linkage, while the other has internal melted wiring/plastic damage inside the tender area. I have done my best to document every angle honestly and clearly so buyers know exactly what they are receiving. That said, these locomotives completely won me over while photographing them. These originally belonged to my grandfather, and spending time carefully taking photos of them honestly made me fall in love with trains all over again. The Norfolk & Western J Class has such an incredible shape and presence to it, and these photograph absolutely beautifully even in their current condition. The shells, detailing, tenders, and overall appearance still have amazing character and display potential, and I can absolutely understand why collectors and railroad fans love these locomotives so much.
