Artist: Jimmy Lloyd Title: I Got A Rocket In My Pocket / You're Gone, Baby Label: Roulette Records Catalog number: R-4062 Format: Vinyl, 7", 45 RPM, Single, Promo Year: 1958 Country: US Edition: Promo (Disk Jockey Copy) Genre: Rockabilly / Rock & Roll 💿 DESCRIPTION Jimmy Lloyd was a pseudonym used by the traditional country music singer Jimmy Logsdon. He adopted the alias specifically for his rockabilly recordings on Roulette Records to protect his country music reputation. "I Got A Rocket In My Pocket" (co-written by Logsdon and Vic McAlpin) is widely considered a definitive masterpiece of the rockabilly genre. Driven by a frantic tempo, slapback echo, and aggressive guitar work, the track perfectly captures the raw energy of late-1950s rock & roll. The B-side features the equally compelling rockabilly track "You're Gone, Baby". While it received limited commercial success at the time of its release, the record has achieved legendary status among roots music collectors worldwide. 💎 CONDITION vinyl: very good plus (vg+) sleeve: generic 🧾 NOTES FOR COLLECTORS This is an original 1958 US first-pressing promotional copy, distributed exclusively to radio stations and disc jockeys ahead of the commercial release. It features the distinctive, highly sought-after Roulette multi-colored "spoke" cross design on a white background with the prominent "DISK JOCKEY" and "NOT FOR SALE" text. Genuine original promo pressings of this rockabilly holy grail are exceptionally rare and vastly superior in historical value to standard retail versions or modern reproductions. 🔍 MATRIX / LABEL DETAILS Side A Label Matrix: (12318) Side B Label Matrix: (12319) Side A Runout (Etched): 12318-45 Side B Runout (Etched): 12319-45 Rights Society: BMI Publishers: Coaxial Music, Inc. & Kahl Music 📦 SHIPPING 📮 STANDARD: 5–30 DAYS — FREE SHIPPING ✈️ INTERNATIONAL PRIORITY: 5–15 DAYS — 30$ 🚚 FEDEX EXPRESS: 3–7 DAYS — 65$ WORLD OF AUDIOPHILE (EBAY SELLER) 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK • FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE ⭐ LATEST BUYER FEEDBACK “ABSOLUTELY STUNNING VINYL!
