This is the debut self titled release from Boston, 1976 JE 34188. This vinyl is a reissue, post 1978. If you played heavy rock guitar in the 70's, this album was joy to the ears. Tom Scholz innovated a new guitar sound with special effects devices he patented. So when I first heard "More Than A Feeling", it was enough to run out, buy the album, and learn how to play almost every song on it. GRADING, VINYL: SIDE ONE) This vinyl has been well played, with many light scratches. Fortunately, for the most part, they do not affect play, except in these instances: Cut 1 - a snap at 2:54; a light tic at 3:05. Cut 2 - light crackle around the 4:00 mark. Cut 3 - light crackling first 10 seconds: Light crackling here around 2:00. SIDE 2) This side has many light scratches along with a couple of scuffs. They do no affect play excepting: Cut 1 - light tics about the first minute or so. Cut 2 - snap/crackle around 1:32. Cut 3 - crackling thr first 12 seconds; a pop/crackle end of song. Cut 4 - a pop at :10. Cut 5 - some pops/tics at around 2:30 to 2:45. There may also be a light tic or crackle here and there, but those noted are the instances that an audiophile would consider are affecting play. VINYL GRADE: STRONG VG. LABEL GRADING: The labels on side one and two have light spindle wear. GRADE: VG+. COVER GRADE: The cover comes with the original shrink wrap, that includes two labels on the front - one promoting the album's two chart hits, and one promoting the band and it's members; a third sticker has been mostly peeled from the shrink, top right corner. The only wear on the front/back cover is minimal from the mouth. The spine has been protected and shows no wear. COVER GRADE: EXCELLENT
