Strike Back Cinemax Season One Starring Philip Winchester Co-Stars Sullivan Stapleton Network Cinemax / HBO Format DVD (4-Disc Set) Brutal. Ruthless. Deadly. When an international terrorist network unleashes a devastating plot, the British secret intelligence service activates "Section 20"—a lethal, highly classified covert ops unit. Partnering the meticulous, rule-abiding Michael Stonebridge (Philip Winchester) with the disgraced, wildly unpredictable former Delta Force operative Damien Scott (Sullivan Stapleton), the team is dispatched across the globe to stop a looming global catastrophe. Strike Back redefined action television. Shot on location across multiple continents, the series plays out like a relentless, R-rated blockbuster movie. It features incredibly complex tactical sequences, hand-to-hand combat, and an uncompromising look at the psychological toll of deep-cover warfare. ★ Unparalleled Authenticity To ensure the action looked completely authentic, leads Sullivan Stapleton and Philip Winchester did not rely on stunt doubles for the vast majority of their scenes. Instead, they underwent grueling, extensive tactical training with former SAS and SBS (Special Boat Service) commandos, learning actual room-clearing techniques, heavy weapons handling, and close-quarters combat (CQB). ⚠ Condition Assessment: Very Good (VG) This 4-Disc set is a fantastic pickup for action fans wanting pristine playback. The Discs & Inserts: The physical DVDs and the interior inserts appear to be in New to Like-New Condition, showing no signs of wear and ready for flawless viewing. The Outer Case: The cardboard outer display case shows some minor edge/shelf wear, typical for a cardboard slipcover of this age, as detailed in the photos. The structural integrity remains solid.
