TESTAMENT (1983) CRITERION LIKE NEW BLURAY NUCLEAR DEVASTATION & A FAMILY'S LIFE AFTERWARDS I never sell anything that I do not like and my offerings are always as stated and always playable. if you ever have a question or problem, please let me know and I will answer your question or take care of the problem. Taking a hauntingly intimate approach to an often sensationalized subject, the singular Testament depicts one family’s daily life in the wake of nuclear devastation. After an atomic attack near her small California town, Carol Wetherly (Jane Alexander, in a fearlessly vulnerable, Oscar-nominated performance) must find the strength to care for her three children as the family contend with radiation sickness and the realization that their close-knit community will never be the same. With a diaristic focus on the emotional toll of unimaginable events, director Lynne Littman puts forth a wrenchingly humane vision of what it means to go on living in a shattered world. Originally produced for the PBS series American Playhouse, Testament was given a theatrical release instead by Paramount Pictures on November 4, 1983 (although PBS did subsequently air it a year later). Alexander was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance. I'm very happy with this item. It is exactly what I had been looking for in a very long time. Item was exactly as described. Fast shipping. Good packaging. Great value since this is a very difficult to get edition of the Hobbit. All discs were in perfect condition. I appreciate when sellers post the actual pictures of the item instead of stock photos from the internet. Well done. Amazing seller.
