6th Plate Ambrotype Amazing Solarized Image of Elderly Man 1850s-60s
$ 9.77
Description
A very unusual 6th plate ambrotype of an elderly gentleman c. 1850s-1860s. The image has that solarized look often seen in daguerreotypes. The man is tinted. His face is clear when viewed in person, rather than as appears in the photo. The background sparkles in person as if sprinkled with glitter. It is really an unusual stunning image. I combine shipping. The mat reads Jenks Bros Paterson N.J.
This vintage postcard is in excellent condition. The discount on the price is appreciated. It was packaged exceptionally well...."wrapped" in cardboard with another cardboard piece in the envelope to protect the card. The mailing envelope was also cardboard. I'm very happy with this purchase and the seller. A+
Item arrived quickly. It was very carefully packaged. The postcard was not bent or anything. Item was exactly as described. I'm very happy with this item and the transaction.
The Daguerreotype arrived today. It is just as described and very well packed for a trip across America. 5 Star Seller... Would definitely buy from again...
