This is a BEAUTIFUL EGYPTIAN-STYLE HANDMADE wooden box, characterized by its INTRICATE MOSAIC MARQUETRY and MOTHER-OF-PEARL INLAYS. These boxes are traditional Middle Eastern crafts, often made from HIGH-QUALITY woods like beech and featuring GEOMETRIC DESIGNS passed down through generations. This particular box was orginally used as a CIGAR BOX and has a BEAUTIFUL IVORY COLORED DECORATED SILK LINED INTERIOR!! This box is in GOOD CONDITION considering it is over 100 years old!! There are NO missing pieces throughout the MOSAIC ARTWORK!! There are NO ISSUES with the SILK INTERIOR, however, the SILK is stiff and I am not 100% if it was produced this way or not. This box has a GREAT APPEARANCE and DISPLAYS BEAUTIFULLY!! HOWEVER, it is worth noting the nail in the hinge on the right hand side is a little lose and could use repair to hinge. HOWEVER, the box still opens fine and this does not hinder appearance whatsoever! This box is truly a WORK of ART and would make a PERFECT gift for the VINTAGE lover in your life! Or someone who collects MIDDLE EASTERN HANDMADE MOSAIC boxes!! Or someone looking for a touch of ELEGANCE to their vanity or home!!

Item was packaged beautifully in original box with extra layer of bubbles in another box to keep it from breaking. It arrived timely. It was as decribed and in New condition. It was a good price, the shipping was more than the item.
