Custom NASCAR 1/24 Diecast- Jimmy Spencer 1992 Daly's Oldsmobile Moroso Racing . This listing is for a 1/24 scale diecast car featuring Jimmy Spencer's 1992 Daly's Oldsmobile, driven for car owner Dick Moroso in NASCAR Busch Grand National Series events. A Revell Oldsmobile Cutlass was used as the donor car, paint was stripped down to the metal, then black semigloss coats of paint were added. Waterslide decals were added to the car, featuring the #20 Daly's livery, which includes Oldsmobile manufacturer logos/details and several large sections of neon red striping- these stripes are notoriously difficult to apply without breaking them as the sections of striping are very wide/long and the decal sets were printed 30 plus years ago and thus are usually extremely brittle and subject to frequent breaking/dissolving after water is applied. 1/24 scale Diecast car comes inside of a plastic display case after being wrapped in bubble wrap; the plastic case will be placed inside of a donor box for protection during shipment. This is a rarely seen (on eBay or any other place where diecasts are listed for sale), highly collectible 1:24 Diecast piece for fans of NASCAR, racing memorabilia, fans of Oldsmobile's NASCAR efforts, and collectors of rare/unique NASCAR Diecasts. The vehicle was a race winning car at a NASCAR Busch Grand National Series stock car race at Myrtle Beach Speedway, during the 1992 season. This win came after several strong runs by a young and up and coming driver by the name of Jimmy Spencer, and was the first win for car owner Dick Moroso since the passing of his son and driver Rob Moroso in 1990 and the first since Rob won during his 1989 Busch Grand National Championship season. The win also occurred at the same track where Rob's first Busch Grand National Series win occured for car owner and father Dick Moroso. This car is clean and detailed- I had this one in my primary display case for a good amount of time. It is a deep cut as far as diecasts go but for the not so casual collector, this 1/24 scale custom car is a top shelf option available for purchase. It is not commonly listed for sale (I have seen and purchased two total on eBay in 6 or so years), looks great and was not commercially produced in 1/24 scale at all (only one decal sheet was released and 2 1/64 scale versions were made)- I am only selling for reasons that would mostly fall under "financial reasons" category. No returns please. USPS ground advantage is the default/preferred shipment option. I did not see any major flaws in the paint or the decals- if you notice a flaw and would like for me to review it, send me a message and I will fix the issue or change the price when possible and when appropriate.
