A U.S. Foreign Service airmail envelope sent from the American Embassy in Ciudad Trujillo (Republica Dominicana) to New Rochelle, N.Y. Two Dominican stamps are affixed, including a 1844–1944 centennial issue and a Red Cross commemorative; circular postmark reads 1945. Front is stamped "THE FOREIGN SERVICE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA OFFICIAL BUSINESS" and "PAR AVION BY AIR MAIL"; the back bears an "EXAMINED BY" censorship tape.
