Description
This is a Michigan float copper specimen from the Keweenaw Peninsula, weighing approximately 1.1lbs. It has two different distinct colors in the polished portions which suggests mohawkite to me. You can see the contrast in the close-up photos. It is semi-polished and would make a unique and striking display piece for collectors of rocks, fossils, and minerals. The natural beauty of the copper specimen, showcasing the intricate patterns and colors, would make it a standout addition to any collection. After polishing it was sprayed with a high quality lacquer to prevent oxidation. Its dimensions are roughly 4.5”x4”x.5”.
