" The Man from U.N.C.L.E. #9 The Diving Dames Affair " - by Peter Leslie - (Unstated) 1st PRINT Paperback ( Based on the 1960s MGM hit TV show) - Published in 1967 by ACE - 159 pages - Very good condition. The trail began in Rio de Janeiro... Two beautiful girls had been killed in a mysterious car wreck near Rio, and a large number of people seemed determined to discourage any investigation of the accident. Since the girls were U.S. citizens, the FBI became interested...and they quickly alerted U.N.C.L.E. When Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin finally uncovered the secret hidden in the wilds of Brazil, it was only the beginning of their mission. For now they faced a fantastic plot that could destroy the world...and the countdown to disaster had already started! If you were a fan of the show, you won't want to miss this book. There is some general edge wear and a light vertical crease on the cover close to the spine (see the scan), and some browning inside the covers (which is common with vintage paperbacks), but this book is still in very good condition. No collection of The Man from U.N.C.L.E. items is complete without this book. Check out the scan for the photo of Robert Vaughn as Napoleon Solo and David McCallum as Illya Kuryakin on the cover and so you can judge the condition for yourself (unlike many other booksellers, who post generic scans, the book in my scan is the one you will get). You can try to buy this book for less money from one of those eBay booksellers with hundreds, if not thousands of negatives (you know the ones I refer to) and be lucky if the book is delivered to you in the stated condition (if you even get it at all), or you can buy it from me and be assured of a prompt delivery and of receiving an item true to the condition indicated.
