Description
This was used on February 22, 1875 at the music hall in Baltimore Maryland for the Martha Washington tea party charity event. This was provided by the Samuel Child and company at the time. This has only the top markings and no other marks. This is a porcelain, not earthenware and is pure white with the blue transfer / painted design . The lettering is slightly raised and would fade if not washed carefully This rare historic item measures 5 1/2 inches across the saucer with the cup being 2” x 3 1/2”. The lettering is faded on both pieces but no damages.
