The underside still has the original Maitland Smith label that reads “Designed and Hand Made in Thailand by Maitland Smith LTD,” which is consistent with their high-quality decorative bronze work from the late 20th century. Solid bronze parrot sculpture by Maitland Smith LTD. This is a heavy, well-made piece with excellent detail throughout the feathers, head, and branch perch. Very substantial for its size, weighing just under 12 pounds, not a thin decorative casting.
