This “Buy it Now” offering is for an original vintage 1974 Montreal Alouettes Canadian Football League pocket schedule. This was the Alouettes second year under future Hall of Fame coach Marv Levy . He led the team to a 9-5-2 season advancing through the playoffs and winning the Grey Cup. After five years with the Alouettes, Levy went on to 17 years as an NFL coach for the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo where he led the Bills to four straight AFC Championships. He would later be named to both the Canadian Football Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame (NFL). The 1974 Alouettes were loaded with talent and future Canadian Football Hall of Fame players including two-time National Champion with the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the 1972 Heisman Trophy winner and future College Football Hall of Famer Johnny Rodgers who led the league with 1,024 receiving yards. Future Canadian Football Hall of Fame tight end Peter Dalla Riva led the league with eight touchdown receptions. Quarterback Jimmy Jones threw for 2,297 yards. The offensive line included two future Canadian Football Hall of Famers: Ed George and Dan Yochum . Defensively the team was led by Phil Price at defensive back who picked off seven opponent throws, though the defense also featured five future Canadian Football Hall of Famers: Junior Ah You, Gene Gaines. Dickie Harris, Marv Luster and Glen Weir . Kicker, Don Sweet was in his third year and he would go on to play 13 years with the Alouettes including 185 regular season games, scoring a team record 1,342 points, including 312 field goals and 325 conversions. He played in five Grey Cup games where he totaled 61 points.
