Classic vintage Marimekko shirt dress featuring the iconic Tasaraita black and white horizontal stripe pattern designed by Maija Isola. This timeless Scandinavian piece has a relaxed A-line silhouette with a button-front closure, short sleeves, notched open collar, and front patch pockets. Made in Finland from Marimekko’s signature heavyweight cotton jersey, this dress has a substantial feel and excellent drape. Labeled “Original marimekko – Made in Finland,” dating this piece to approximately the late 1970s–1980s. An effortlessly wearable vintage dress that works well on its own or styled open as a lightweight layering piece. Pockets are still sewn closed. Made of 100% cotton. Tiniest faint stain on the back shoulder as pictured.
