Under no circumstances should any work be completed underneath the vehicle if it is not adequately supported, as serious injuries and death can occur. 1.Set steering to straight ahead. 2.Raise vehicle. 3.Remove applicable front wheel.(picture 1) 4.Remove the upper plastic cover that sits above the air strut.(picture 2) 5.Disconnect the strut connector retaining clip.(picture 3) 6.Disconnect the top electrical plug.(picture 4) 7.Disconnect the air line and remove the air fitting.(picture 5) 8.Loosen and remove the three top shock mounting nuts.(picture 6) 9.Disconnect the wheel speed sensor.(picture 7) 10.Detach the wheel speed sensor wires from their retention brackets.(pictures 8,9,10) 11.Loosen and remove the sway bar end link nut and seperate from the strut.(picture 11) 12.Loosen and remove the bottom mount nut and bolt.(picture 12) 13.Loosen and remove the upper ball joint nut and seperate the ball joint from the spindle assembly.(picture 13) 14.Remove the air strut from the vehicle. *Installation Guideline: 1.Install the arnott top plate onto the air shock.(pictures 14,15) 2.Install the air shock into the vehicle.(picture 16) 3.Install the bottom mounting bolt and nut and tighten to manufacturer's specifications.(pictures 17,18) 4.Reattach the sway bar end link. Reinstall the sway bar end link nut and tighten to manufacturer's specifications.(picture 19) 5.Reattach the upper ball joint to the spindle assembly. Install the nut and tighten to manufacturer's specifications.(picture 20) 6.Reinstall the top shock mounting nuts and tighten to manufacturer's specifications.(picture 21) 7.Reinstall the air line.(picture 22) 8.Reinstall top electrical plug, being careful to appropriately orient the electrical connection to align the pins.(picture 23) 9.Reinstall the strut connector retaining clip.(picture 24) 10.Reattach the wheel speed sensor wires to the mounting brackets.(pictures 25,26,27) 11.Reconnect the wheel speed sensor.(picture 28) 12.Reinstall the upper plastic cover.(picture 29) 13.Reinstall the wheel. 14.Lower the vehicle. 15.Installation complete. * Frequently Asked Questions : How to prevent the damage of air springs/How to extend the service life of air springs/struts etc.?
