Description
Kathe Kruse 13.5" Brother & Sister Rumpumpel Dolls Germany circa 1980s-on. Brother and Sister are adorable 13 1/2" Rumpumpel toddler dolls that feature hard plastic painted heads, hand knotted synthetic (?). Both dolls are marked "M/50" (or "M150") on the bottoms of their right feet, verifying that they are indeed a pair. Brother and Sister are adorable 13 1/2" Rumpumpel toddler dolls that feature hard plastic painted heads, hand knotted synthetic (?) wigs, and firmly stuffed cloth bodies over wire armature, so they are somewhat poseable. Both wear their Kathe Kruse//Modell Hanne Kruse hang tags on their backsides and were most likely manufactured in Germany circa the 1980s-on. Their tags have been draped around their necks. Both dolls are marked "M/50" (or "M150") on the bottoms of their right feet, verifying that they are indeed a pair. Sister wears her original red printed dress with its white long sleeved bodice, a green plaid two-sided pinafore, a beige wool capelet trimmed with feather stitching, a green woolen muff, a white knit "teddy," white tights, and a pair of red leather single strapped shoes. Her right shoe has faded with time. Her brother wears a pair of beige woolen trousers trimmed in feather stitching, a green plaid long sleeved shirt, a green wool cape, a coordinating "bunny ears" hat, a white knit "teddy," white socks, and brown single strapped shoes. His trousers, plaid shirt, and green cape coordinate with Sister's capelet, plaid pinafore, and green woolen muff. Sister may have lost her "bunny ears" hat. The dolls remain in sturdy condition, though white portions of their clothing have yellowed with age (socks & tights) and the elastic around Sister's cuffs and tights' waistband have stretched. Sister's hair is also a bit "ruffled" from storage and may need further styling. The only hole I spot on their costuming is located beneath left Sister's arm caplet. That may have been caused by her hang tag's original location (?) or by a sewing flaw. No moth damage-- Overall, both dolls sustain minimal dust and discoloration from age and storage. Brother is handsome lad with his cropped auburn hairstyling, and Sister is lovely with her blonde hair styled in pigtails and tied with red ribbons. As siblings, both share warmly hazel toned eyes. PLEASE study the photos carefully and email with all questions! My photos show her condition accurately. Though I have tried to provide an honest and detailed description, I may have omitted information that is important to you. I have also provided photos that "speak volumes."
