BUDDY L PRESSED STEEL ICE DELIVERY TRUCK, 1926 -29, NUMBER 207. Very large, heavy, impressive piece! In very good condition, the truck sits square on all wheels, axles are not bent, and has functional front steering with the wheels solid on the axles, in great working order. BUDDY L PRESSED STEEL ICE DELIVERY TRUCK, 1926 -29, NUMBER 207 These 1926 – 29, No 207, Ice delivery trucks had a black front hood, front and rear fenders, full-length running boards, doorless cab, and steering wheel; yellow open cargo section and rear step, natural canvas sliding cover hooked to brass handrails, removable chain across back; red chassis, crimped-rod bumper; red disc wheels have black hubs and aluminum tires. The truck is original with no touch ups or repairs with its original decals and the paint still even has a nice original shine to it. Very large, heavy, impressive piece! This truck has been on display in my home for decades, you will see dust in crevices that look like rust. There is no rust. Also there are discolorations which are light flash from my light sources, but I am not using my camera flash. CONDITION In very good condition, the truck sits square on all wheels, axles are not bent, and has functional front steering with the wheels solid on the axles, in great working order. The canvas tarp is original with original sliding guide rings attached and still present and attachment holes in canvas tarp has ripped on one side only. One sliding guide ring is missing. Please note there is no yellow paint remaining on the original sliding guide rings bar! Appears original being completely enjoyed as a toy for many years, hence having scrapes, and paint loss, with no dents that I could see. Chain in back by rear side has only ½ its length left. Original paint, original decals, original canvas, original chain on back! All of the decals are original, and all of them are here, including the partial decal on the radiator the two sides of the bed and one below the dash of the cab. This is a great candidate for a full restoration with the wear being on the surface rather than structural. APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS This truck is 26-1/2" Long X 8-1/2" Wide X 12-1/2" Height. This toy truck is from my late husbands 40 year toy collection, which I am now reluctantly thinning out. We both had a great experience hunting together at local auctions piece by piece for so many years. This was one of the nicest examples we personally were ever able to purchase over 40 years and my late husband did have great enjoyment in finding and displaying them. So sad…. Please take a look and be the ultimate judge of condition, but this took us years to acquire.
