【Description】 This book was produced by adding new photographs, writing, and editing by underwater photographer Tetsu Taguchi—also an author of the original 2014 publication Freshwater Fish Identification Guide—and featuring supervision by Sai Ida (Professor Emeritus, Kitasato University). It features approximately 240 species of freshwater fish inhabiting rivers, estuaries, and brackish waters in Japan. Each fish is introduced with photographs taken in its natural habitat, illustrating its environment and behavior. Distinguishing features for identifying similar species are explained using photographs. For some species, characteristics of fry, juveniles, and adults are described, along with observation tips. Species like loaches, which inhabit murky waters with poor visibility, were photographed in tanks to clearly show their body patterns. For each fish species, environmental assessment criteria such as Red List category, Japanese endemic species, and designated invasive species are noted beside the species name, providing information useful for freshwater fish conservation and understanding. Easy to communicate and ask for things about the book and the price Only once felt like my question was ignored, but it wasn't a question that needed a reply anyways The start of the delivery process was a bit slow, but that doesn't matter to me, because it still arrived a week before the actual delivery date The book was send in an envelope instead of a box, but it came out unscathed so no issues there either! I would definitely recommend this seller if they got something you are looking for!

Art book came in excellent condition and as advertised. Seller was communicative and sent updates after purchase and shipment. The art book was well-packaged and came in a plastic case and plastic wrapping. The seller also included a handwritten thank you note and a small origami. The only con was that the shipping method used didn't provide tracking. However, the art book arrived within the estimated delivery time frame so it wasn't a big deal.
