Remastered and released in 2021, the bass is supple, the mids smooth 'n nuanced, the highs crisp. Thick, sumptuous black vinyl in a white 12" large-hole maxi-single sleeve. This is no cash-grab re-issue of basement tapes -- it's a fresh, double-A-side single that will blow the minds of all music fans, not just Cerrone’s completists. The opening skit preluding "Love In C Minor", a conversation between five ladies in a disco sizing up the attractions, is a slice o' cultural anthropology par excellence, in and of itself. There's also a wistful sax solo in the third movement, and some pure Costandinos string arrangements during same. "Supernature" stays up-tempo and doesn't go into the drum solos of "Sweet Drums" nor the post-apocalyptic dirge of "In The Smoke", and instead has a digifunk bass synth breakdown that speaks volumes about the Techno to come a generation later. It pains me to sell this one! Whosever buys this, before playing, perhaps consider a moment of silence for the late and ever-great Don Ray (born Raymond Donnez, September 9, 1942 – March 7, 2019), an orchestral Disco GIANT. I thank you all, the living and the now-gone, for your gifts -- you were the sonic architects of my youth, and you changed the course of my life for the ever-better.
