The teaching collection chosen was Caminho Suave (Smooth Path) by educator Branca Alves de Lima, which we analysed in detail. We focused our investigation on analysing how women appear in this collection, both in images and in texts. Finally, we presented some considerations on the analysis carried out in the books, highlighting that the prevailing representation of women in the teaching collection is that of a woman of the home, mother, housewife, in addition to some stereotypes.
