Thinking about converting your Nitro Revo or Slayer to electric. Just not sure about what motor mount, battery tray, where to mount the esc how to lock the transmission and so on. Here's a solution, this kit comes with all that and will make your truck brushless ready. No modifications needed to install the new components. Just take off the old nitro stuff and install the new parts. The new conversion parts come with hardware and attach to the chassis using existing screw holes. T he transmission is converted (locked) for electric use by removing three internal parts and replaced with one of the conversion components. This conversion kit will work with 1/10 or 1/8 motors & esc's and will work with all factory stock Nitro Revos and Nitro Slayers, short and long chassis. Features: One piece vented motor plate that's connected to a support bracket and clamped to the chassis. This rigid design eliminates motor flex and creates a constant pinion to spur gear mesh. Low profile esc plate drilled and tapped to support a wide variety of direct mounting esc's. Plus an extended section to mount on/off switches with tape and/or zip-ties if needed. Double sided tape can be used on esc's without mounting holes, tabs or plates. Heavy Duty battery tray is machined from solid plastic and reinforced with an aluminum support plate. Inside dimensions are 48x156mm and comes complete with battery straps to fit a variety of battery sizes. A Single-Speed Locker (S.S.Locker) eliminates the need to permanently alter the transmission gears and will convert it to direct drive for electric use. It works with Forward/Reverse, Forward Only and Forward Only transmissions with a center differential. All metal parts are machined from High Strength 6061-T6 Aluminum. Plastic parts are machined from solid HDPE stock. Items included in the kit: Everything shown in the first picture Complete set of detailed instructions to get you up and running quickly. (shown in the last 5 pictures) Items needed: Rolling Nitro Revo or Nitro Slayer / with factory stock (traxxas made) chassis, short or long version Mod1 pinion to fit your application 1/10 or 1/8 Motor & ESC Radio/Receiver Limitations: Slayer trucks will not be able to use the side nerf bars. Piggyback shocks and most aftermarket sway bars will not work on the rear. Traxxas 5498 sway bars will work. Each conversion is unique to the builder because of the different models (versions), overall condition, motor/esc selection and so on. Because of these differences it is hard to say exactly what else is needed, if any, to complete. Note: If you have Robinson Racing gears in your transmission, the S.S.Locker will not fit without some modification. We have the modified version that would be a direct fit. If this is so, please ask questions first and we can send the specific part you need. Summery: This is a fairly simple project, however, please note that before any of the new conversion parts can be installed the old nitro parts must be removed. This in itself requires a fair amount of disassembling. After that, its on to installing the new parts. Having a good set hex key drivers and maybe a cordless driver will be a plus.
