Slim-T- MARK Capo for Dobros and other Lap Guitars This Capo is designed for use on 6 string and other square neck guitars, that have a 1st to 6th string spacing of 2-1/4 inch spacing, or less and a string height of 1/4 inch, measured from the top of the fret or fret marker at the 1st fret to the underside of the string at the same position at the same fret. Main body is made from aircraft grade aluminum. One tone bar is made from 300 series Stainless Steel. The 2nd tone bar is made of hardened Naval Brass. The player has the option to use either the stainless steel or the hardened brass tone bar, over the fret to receive the Capo. Simply rotate the Capo 180 degrees. The muting bar has a 300 series stainless steel core and sleeved with a muting material. The Capo is Intended for guitars with a minimum string height of 1/4 inch. When installing the Capo on a guitar, the adjusting nut is loosened to separate the muting bar and the aluminum tone bars components, the muting bar is placed between the center two strings, then rotated and the tone bar is placed over the desired fret and hand tightened. This Capo provides very good tone, sustain and volume and compares to higher priced Capos at half the cost. The photos show this Capo on a quilted maple, Fairchild Dobro. Ray Fairchild passed away last year. The other Dobro and Mini Weissenborn guitars are available from Jack Stepick, Luthier. You see that the Capo is also mounted on my Rogue 6 string lap steel guitar. Recently there was a small increase in the Capo price, due to the increased cost in materials, energy and shipping costs for the materials. Send me any questions you might have prior to buying one of my Capos. Check my eBay ratings. Regards, Tom
