In it, papers have been arranged topically by chapters and subsections rather than by order of presentation at the Review. The editors believe that this format is preferable as a reference volume. Thus, the Proceedings contains nine chapters and subsections which provide broad coverage of topics of current interest in NDE research and development. The Review was sponsored by the Center for Advanced NDE, Ames Laboratory of the U. S. Department of Energy, in cooperation with the Office of Basic Energy Sciences, USDOE, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, the Materials Laboratory of the Air Force Wright Aeronautical Laboratories, and the Naval Sea Systems Command. Approximately 275 attendees representing various government agencies, industry, and academia participated in the technical presentations, poster sessions, and discussions. This Review, possibly the most comprehensive annual symposium in NDE, emphasizes both basic research and early engineering applications; it provides a valuable forum for the transfer of technical information. Chapter 1 consists of four papers that discuss elements of NDE Reliability and contains the keynote paper given by Dr. J. M.   1. Ordered on 10th, delivered on 18th. In described condition and excellent price. Delivered by Amazon - the tracking number link didn't work so couldn't track its progress. Package was also left outside on the pavement in the dark despite lights being on at the front door. Would have been a big problem if it was raining as the packaging is cardboard although the book itself was in polythene. When I queried the problem with the tracking number buyer did respond quickly so good comms.

  2. Good seller, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ item as described, packaging average, delivery was a huge disappointment as it was thrown at my front door by an AMAZON driver. I purchased via eBay to avoid AMAZON, now they are involved leaving our eBay purchases on our doorsteps. I do have cctv of the driver throwing my package. I brought the poor delivery to the attention of the seller who advised they would contact the delivery organisation concerned about the breach in their delivery instructions.

  3. This new book I ordered was poorly packaged & arrived in a cardboard wrap which was wide open & the pages had bent & damaged corners. I contacted the seller who sent a return label & arranged for a new replacement to be sent out. The new book arrived in great condition a few days later.
