Description
This is a Nikon 180mm f2.8 AI Nikkor Telephoto Lens. Manual Focus. F Mount. This fits bodies like the EM, FG, FA, FM, FE, etc. It also has the metering prong to work on older bodies like the F, F2, and Nikkormat. Made in Japan. From a local estate. Has some issues. Bad aperture. Read details below before bidding . Cosmetics-Some general surface wear and paint loss. Most heavily on the edges. Some dirt residue in the focusing grip grooves. Additionally the front slide out hood has heavier scratches and some dents. See photos. Good overall otherwise. Operationally the focusing adjusts smoothly. The aperture blades though stick and don't track correctly. Sometimes at the stopped down ranges they pop fully opened up erratically. So this would mostly need to be used at the faster opened up 2.8 range. The optics have some dust, small fungus spots internally, and some light scratches on the front element. Tested on my digital in the manual mode and the images were still sharp. Good for limited or occasional use. See lots of photos of what you are getting . Sold AS IS. Includes the lens, built in hood, and front & rear caps seen above. The front cap is a newer version and has the focal length in pen on the back. See last photos. Nothing else is included. Works as describe, has a lil whine to it but otherwise the lights do the job. Packaging was messy, because it was a whole bunch of peanuts, but it couldn't be safer. Shipping was fast. Overall, value for the buck was worth. I hope it lasts forever!
