Description

An original 1969 poster advertising 2 acts to play at the Town Hall in Torquay. The first act was Love Sculpture (Dave Edmunds) playing on July 6th, 1969. The second act playing on July 19th, 1969 was the Beatles discovered group Grapefruit. How rare is it to see that printed on this poster. Grapefruit was one of the first acts signed to Apple Records and unfortunately never released any product on that label. This was despite John and Paul being involved with them. In fact John named them after the title of one of Yoko Ono’s books. This original poster is printed on double crown paper and is 30” x 20” . Overall condition is VG+ with just a bit of edge wear and a few very small edge tears. I can’t imagine there are many of these posters left in existence and this one is in top condition. Externally rare and a great tie in to the Beatles and Apple Records. Shipping will be $50 within North America. International shipping will be $90. In the event Canada Post goes on strike we can explore alternate carriers.
