Thile the program is the Detroit Tigers home program, tthe game scored in the program is Game 5 of the World Series, played at Wrigley Field in Chicago on October 7, 1945. The Tigers beat the Cubs 8-4. The Tigers were led by Hank Greenberg, who had 3 hits. Eddie Mayo and Roy Cullenbine had two hits, while Skeeter Webb, Doc Cramer, Rudy York and Paul Richards had one hit each. Hal Newhouser was the Tiger starter and pitched a complete game for the Win. The Cubs had 7 hits from 7 different players, including Stan Hack, Peanuts Lowrey, Phil Cavarretta, Bill Nicholson, Mickey Livingston, Hank Borowy, and Frank Secory. Hank Borowy was the Cub starter and took the Loss. The Tigers beat the Cubs in the Series 4 games to 3. The Tigers were led by Hank Greenberf, who batted .304, with 2 home runs, 7 RBI and 7 runs scored. Doc Cramer batted .379 with 11 hits. The front cover shows some wear and some fading. The program was folded vertically at one time. The back cover is clean, with light wear. The spine is split 7" from the top and 3" from the bottom, the covers being attached to the program by a single staple. The insides are clean. The center page spread is firmly attached.
