The figure is shown full-length in a rich dress of crimson, blue and white with a gilded stomacher. Her head is crowned with a royal diadem and her auburn hair falls loose at her back. Unsigned. Beautifully presented in an antique gilt frame. On panel. Condition Signs of wear consistent with age. Discolouration to the surface. Fine craquelure throughout. The paint appears to be lifting in areas, however, it has been stabilised. The artwork has undergone previous restoration, including areas of overpainting, notably to the background.
