In the study 27 patients presented inadequate knowledge about the types of stroke and after applying the Educational Program the figures decreased where only 6 patients reflected inadequate knowledge. After applying the program, 88.6% presented adequate knowledge about risk factors. A change in the lifestyle of the patients was observed, at the end of the intervention 45.7% and 71.4% presented a better control of Diabetes Mellitus and Arterial Hypertension respectively.
