To this end, a retrospective study of a series of 5 cases of osteo-muscular hydatid cysts was carried out in the orthopedics department of the Batna-ALGERIA university hospital, over a period of 10 years. During this period, we observed that 80% of cases originated from Batna and only 20% from Khenchela. The age group most affected was between 24 and 51, with males predominating. Muscle was the organ most affected in all our patients, while bone involvement was secondary to muscle involvement.
