En el estudio 27 pacientes presentaron conocimientos inadecuados sobre los tipos de ictus y después de aplicado el Programa Educativo las cifras disminuyeron donde solo 6 pacientes reflejaron conocimientos inadecuados. Al aplicar el programa el 88.6 % presentaron conocimientos adecuados sobre los factores de riesgo. Se constató un cambio en el estilo de vida de los pacientes, al culminar la intervención el 45.7 % y el 71.4 % presentaron un mayor control de la Diabetes Mellitus y de Hipertensión Arterial respectivamente.
