Se comprobó que el grupo de edad de mayor prevalencia fue 13 a 14 años. El 60.8% habían iniciado relaciones sexuales, el 41.6% acude a los amigos como primera fuente de información sobre ITS. Los adolescentes no reconocen el uso del condón para protegerse en el 59.2% y solo el 17.6% mostró nivel de conocimiento satisfactorio antes de la intervención, resultando efectiva la capacitación y modificando satisfactoriamente los conocimientos de los adolescentes.
