Sono stati analizzati 755 adolescenti di entrambi i sessi, 385 del Programma della Seconda Ora (PST) e 370 del Gruppo di Controllo (CG), di età compresa tra i 10 e i 14 anni, provenienti da scuole comunali della città di Fortaleza, CE. Sono stati valutati l'indice di massa corporea (BMI), la maturità sessuale e l'idoneità fisica correlata alla salute, nonché il comportamento sedentario e le abitudini alimentari. Le ragazze sono risultate superiori nel test di resistenza alla posizione seduta e all'allungamento e i ragazzi nei test di resistenza addominale e cardiorespiratoria. Abbiamo riscontrato che il 16,7% e il 3,7% del campione erano rispettivamente in sovrappeso e obesi.
