Vintage Spalding Leather Football Helmet Yellow Blue 1940s 1950s Size 50. • Spalding sports collectors. Interior padding is present but aged. • Sport: Football. • Color: Yellow with blue crown panel. Authentic vintage Spalding leather football helmet dating to approximately the 1940s–early 1950s era. Helmet features classic stitched multi-panel leather construction with ventilation holes, original interior padding, and a painted yellow exterior with contrasting blue leather crown panel. Interior leather is stamped “50” (size) along with additional period markings, consistent with Spalding manufacturing from the late leather-helmet era before plastic helmets became standard. Helmet shows expected wear from age and use, including surface scuffs, paint loss, creasing, and cracking to the leather (see photos). Interior padding is present but aged.
