1920's ANTIQUE FOLK ART PAINTED MAP of LITTLE COMPTON RHODE ISLAND. This antique Folk Art Map of Little Compton, Rhode Island appears to be oil paint on Masonite and probably. The map is decorated with trees and animals including a Rhode island Red Rooster, an Eagle, a pheasant, a Mallard duck,a Canadian Goose, and several aquatic animals including a whale, dolphins and a swordfish or marlin. This antique Folk Art Map of Little Compton, Rhode Island appears to be oil paint on Masonite and probably dates form the 1920's The map is somewhat similar to a map painted by Sidney Burleigh in 1925 and may be the inspiration for this map. The map is decorated with trees and animals including a Rhode island Red Rooster, an Eagle, a pheasant, a Mallard duck,a Canadian Goose, and several aquatic animals including a whale, dolphins and a swordfish or marlin.
