"The Langoliers" On a red-eye flight from Los Angeles to Boston, ten passengers awaken mid-flight to discover that everyone else has vanished, including the crew. The survivors, which include a pilot and a blind girl, manage to land the plane at an eerily deserted Bangor, Maine airport. The world seems silent and lifeless. The group eventually learns they have flown through a "time rip" and have landed in a present that has no substance. As a monstrous, static-like sound approaches, they realize they must escape before the Langoliers— creatures that consume time— devour them. Secret Window, Secret Garden" Author Mort Rainey is struggling with depression and a bitter divorce at his secluded cabin. He is confronted by a man named John Shooter, who accuses him of plagiarizing a story. Mort must find a copy of his original publication to prove his story came first, but obstacles repeatedly prevent him from getting it. As people connected to Mort and his ex-wife start disappearing or dying, Mort's grip on reality slips. The story is a psychological horror exploring a writer's descent into madness. "The Library Policeman" Middle-aged businessman Sam Peebles is pressured into giving a speech and goes to the local library for help. He borrows books from a strangely hostile librarian, who warns him about the "library policeman" who punishes people with overdue books. After losing the books, Sam is terrorized by the malevolent library policeman, which forces him to confront a long-repressed childhood trauma. With the help of an ally, Sam battles the supernatural entity that is feeding on his fears. "The Sun Dog" Teenager Kevin Delevan receives a Polaroid camera for his birthday. However, every photo he takes, regardless of the subject, shows a sinister and progressively closer "hell hound". The dog appears to be breaking through from the Polaroid film into the real world. Kevin takes the camera to the town's wicked junkman, Pop Merrill, who wants to turn a profit from the menacing anomaly. As the dog gets closer, both Kevin and Pop become drawn into a horrifying battle with the beast. Book is in acceptable condition. Photos are the final arbiter of condition.
