Angels in Heaven, announcing Birth of Christ. Silver Tinsel & Paper Ornament. 5.00 by 7.50", and in good condition, not very good due to repair of wing. Angels in Heaven, announcing Birth of Christ. Silver Tinsel & Paper Ornament 5.00 by 7.50", and in good condition, not very good due to repair of wing. This ornament was home-made by a family. The paper was printed in Germany via an eighteen color plate process, and the family purchased the paper and the tinsel wire, and assembled the ornaments. This was a time in which rural families made most of their ornaments rather than buying them from a store or mail order catalog. These ornaments being listed today are vintage, not reproductions. I guarantee that.
