Breyer Karen Grimm BHR Black Horse Ranch Custom CM Appaloosa Old Timer w/ Hat. He has a nice paint job but I won't say perfect. This auction is for a custom painted appaloosa old timer by Karen Grimm of Black Horse Ranch. He comes with what I believe is a custom yellow hat with green band (looks identical to the original, just feels a bit lighter and it's glossed). The model is painted in the same style of the BHR resins that were produced years ago. He has a nice paint job but I won't say perfect. He has no breaks, repairs or rubs, but I see some overspray here and there and his eyes and hooves are not painted (they're the same brown color as the body). There's also some white from the painted appaloosa blanket on the black painted areas of his harness. I was told he was an authentic BHR custom when I bought him (from a BHR estate auction) -however, he is not signed and he has no paperwork or certificate to verify this. If you are familiar with Karen's work though, and have seen some of her appaloosa resins, you'll see the similarities.
