The Alvarado Hotel Albuquerque New Mexico Fred Harvey Postcard c. 1905. Early Detroit Publishing Company postcard, number 5994, captioned "The Alvarado, Albuquerque, N. M." with Fred Harvey credit. The Mission Revival railroad hotel is shown in long elevation against snow-capped mountains, with its bell tower at left and arcaded loggias stretching across the foreground. The Alvarado opened in 1902 as the flagship Harvey House along the Santa Fe Railway and was demolished in 1970. Undivided back ("This Side for the Address") dates the card to pre-March 1907, with one-cent domestic postage indicated. Unposted. Save when you buy more!
