Vintage 1930s Aynsley Vine Shape Tea Cup & Saucer "Orchard Fruit" C-439 D. Jones Up for sale is a fine vintage Aynsley bone china teacup and saucer in their famed "Orchard Fruit" pattern. This one features the pattern on the (full) interior of the cup along with the artist's signature, D. Jones. The saucer and exterior of the cup are glazed a burnt orange / deep coral. The footed cup measures 2-1/4" high by 3-3/4" across the rim. The cup features the harder-to-find "vine shape": a ribbed profile with a scalloped rim. The cup's flared and gilded foot is ribbed as well. The saucer is 5-5/8" in diameter, also with a scalloped rim and gently fluted edge trimmed in gold. The pieces are stamped as shown with the earlier Aynsely logo and the cup is hand painted with the pattern number C439.
